Q: Why do you dive?
A: I was introduced to scuba by a friend. I got certified in 2004 and got hooked! Being underwater and seeing all the marine life and coral is just incredible, exciting, and strangely peaceful. It is a great way for me to relax and enjoy some undisturbed serenity.
Q: Why did you decide to instruct diving?
A: My instructor and mentor encouraged me to become a Divemaster and assist with training students. To watch the excitement and wonder in the students’ eyes as they became divers and experienced the underwater world convinced me I wanted to give back and become an instructor.
Q: Why Instruct at Dive Tech?
A: When looking for a dive shop to affiliate with I looked for a shop that has the diver as the center and staff with the same attitude. Divetech met that criteria and I am fortunate to be part of the team.
Q: Number one tip for future diver?
A: Spend time in the water! Get comfortable with your equipment and skills. Never stop learning and improving yourself.
Q: Your coolest dive trip and why.
A: Bonne Terre Mine. 100′ visibility, year around diving and located 126′ underground – and still an open water dive! How cool is that!
