Q: Why do you dive?
A: I wanted to try something new. I was born and raised here in Houston so, needless to say that most of my life has been spent on land. I figured SCUBA Diving could certainly change that. On the very first pool class I took a breath underwater I couldn’t shake off the sensation of exhilaration I felt and yet how peaceful it was.
Q: Why did you decide to instruct Diving?
A: I wanted to give back that exhilarating feeling and share it with other people. It’s a really humbling moment when our students return from dive trips and recite all the amazing things they experienced. And that is what it’s all about.
Q: Why Instruct at Dive Tech?
A: Dive Tech is where I was certified. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Dive Tech.
Q: Number one tip for future divers?
A: Go at your own pace and, if it’s a slow pace don’t worry we’re patient. Comfort is key when it comes to this sport.
Q:Your coolest dive trip so far and why.
A: My last trip to Bonaire is one that sticks out. My group and I did a quick shore dive from the beach and about mid way through we saw about 14 sharks! Unfortunately, no one I was with had a camera to document it. Bonaire is known to not draw in sharks and without proof it was just another diver’s tall tale.
